Language Arts Kit A (PreK/K-G1) Digital

I gave it 4 stars because it’s great, but not perfect.
Pros:
1 and 2. It is very Montessori and easy to follow: I started my now six year old on a different Montessori program when she was 3. It was too hard for me to follow. And there were too many extras to source/purchase/make. But I ended up reading a lot about Montessori in the process. And this is the first program I’ve found that really seems true to the Montessori method. But the open and go structure, has made all the difference for me.
3. It is affordable. And you have downloads for life. I love this because my iPad is always losing my downloads and has very low storage. I’ve definitely taken advantage of this. Also great, because I can also use the program for my now 3 year old.
4. The LAtests help you find the lessons you need, without starting all over again - if your like me, and you’ve already dabbled in several programs.
5. The simple organizer on the first page, I jot down the date, time put in, and the lesson number. This simple tool has been very helpful for me.
6. The supplement videos really hit at the heart of Montessori, and real problems that we run into while presenting a lesson.
6. The customer service was great. Shout out to Amanda. She listened to my concerns, and fixed them, very quickly!
7. The songs and some of the lessons get us moving. And that helps us pay attention. My six year old learned the letters on another program and every program seems to have a set of songs, but these are the first ones to keep her interest.
Cons:
1. I have found mistakes in the lessons. They are obvious, but unfortunate. For example: the answer/explanation as to which words start with a letter were wrong in one lesson I looked at (I think it was letter R). If the instructor knows what R is, you won’t have a problem fixing this wording while presenting.
2. I think some of the LAtests lesson suggestions did not line up with the actual lesson number. For example, the test might suggest doing lesson 52 to teach about story telling. But lesson 54 might be the actual lesson on storytelling, while 52 is a letter lesson. Again, easy to fix for the instructor. But if you were using the build your own lesson online, it might be frustrating. I haven’t actually tried the lesson builder.
3. I’ve had trouble with the website. Even though customer service is quick to help, it is unfortunate to have to deal with that.
