Although the CD will not be very useful for me, I can see how it would be more useful for homeschooling children between the ages of 3 and 8. Concepts range from "Shorter or Longer" to "Area," with more songs dealing with concepts for younger children. Since I'm teaching only kindergarten, I've found very few songs that will be useful. Also, I did not care for the style of music or the way the focus information tends to get lost among other lyrics. However, again in a homeschool setting where the music is just playing in the background, children would absorb more, but not those for which visuals and/or direction are necessary in order to make sense such as "North East South West."
I appreciate any effort to put math concepts to music, and a few of these songs will be useful for my class.
The songs are fun and catchy. I hear the boys singing some of the songs around the house. What a great idea to put important math vocabulary and concepts in song form.
